Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
- Handle floor cleaning tasks using appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor scrubbers to maintain high standards of floor care.
- Manage chemical agent handling safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper procedures for cleaning agents and disinfectants.
- Conduct sanitation of public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal spaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Utilize janitorial and custodial experience to operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to hotel housekeeping management protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving linen carts, cleaning supplies, or furniture moving while following manual handling safety procedures.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety for guests and staff during incidents or evacuations.
Experience
- Prior hotel housekeeping or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel operations enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service.
- Proven skills in floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and handling chemical agents safely are essential for maintaining hygiene standards.
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and steam cleaners is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices helps streamline daily operations and improve guest satisfaction.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail is required.
