New Restaurant! We are seeking a passionate and skilled Professional Cook specializing in fine dining to join our culinary team. In this role, you will craft exceptional meals that meet high standards of quality, presentation, and flavor. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations will contribute to delivering memorable dining experiences for our residents and guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, seasonal offerings, and nutritional balance
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pots, poaching tools, and food production machinery
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Execute food handling protocols during meal preparation, serving, and storage processes
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals for residents with dietary restrictions or preferences
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-volume production meets service timelines while maintaining quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining culinary environments or upscale restaurants
- Strong skills in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and knife handling
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for large-scale service
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Background in dietary aide roles or dietary department experience is a plus
- Excellent food handling skills with attention to detail in presentation and flavor balance
- Prior food service or restaurant experience demonstrating high-volume production capabilities
