Recording Officer
Location: Brooklyn

Starting Salary: $50,000 / year
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
We are seeking a sharp, motivated, and dependable Recording Officer to join our title team. No prior experience in real estate or the title industry is required! We love to train people who are brand new to the workforce or looking to start a fresh career path, provided you bring a strong work ethic, maturity, and a drive to succeed.
As a Recording Officer, you will handle the critical final steps of real estate transactions by reviewing, submitting, and tracking legal documents with county records.
Key Responsibilities
- Review legal real estate documents (deeds, mortgages, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.
- Submit documents to appropriate county clerk offices via electronic recording platforms or mail.
- Track the status of submitted documents and promptly resolve any rejections or errors.
- Communicate professionally with internal team members and county officials.
- Maintain organized digital files and logs of all recorded documents.
What We Are Looking For
- Learns new concepts quickly and is able to pick up complex information with ease. Previous title insurance experience is not required—we are happy to train the right candidate.
- Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, and accountability, takes pride in producing accurate work, and thrives in a professional office environment.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to write polished emails and communicate confidently with clients and colleagues.
- Is comfortable using computers, learning new software, and managing digital files efficiently, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Is reliable, punctual, and committed to building a long-term career. We are looking for someone who takes their work seriously, enjoys learning, and wants to grow with our team.
- 2-4+ years experience in any sort of office setting is required.
Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 per year DOE
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
