GLO Resources is currently hiring Construction Laborers to work on a construction project in Loxahatchee, FL. The pay rate is $19-$20 per hour, experience dependent. Typical workdays are Monday – Friday, with weekend and overtime available at times.
Position Summary
The Construction Laborer will assist with general construction activities and support skilled tradesmen, equipment operators, and supervisors with daily project operations. Construction experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general labor and construction tasks on various construction projects.
- Assist skilled tradesmen, pipe layers, equipment operators, and supervisors as directed.
- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with concrete, piping, excavation, grading, formwork, and site preparation.
- Use basic hand and power tools as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow all company and project-specific safety procedures and requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Assist with digging, trenching, backfilling, compacting, and other site work.
- Perform various general labor and construction tasks as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Construction experience preferred but not required.
- Previous experience with wastewater, utility, concrete, excavation, piping, or industrial construction is a plus.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Willingness to learn new construction skills and techniques.
- Ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing and pulling heavy objects.
- Working in outdoor construction environments and around heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor throughout the workday.
