Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Beach Attendant to enhance our guests' seaside experience. In this role, you will be the face of our resort, ensuring safety, providing exceptional guest service, and maintaining the pristine condition of our beach area. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests returning year after year.
Duties
· Greet guests warmly and provide information about beach amenities, activities, and safety guidelines
· Monitor beach area to ensure guest safety, including lifeguard responsibilities if certified
· Manage guest inquiries with confident public speaking skills, offering recommendations and assistance
· Oversee the organization of beach equipment rentals and ensure proper procedures are followed
· Enforce resort policies related to guest conduct, conflict management, and safety regulations
· Assist with event management for beachside activities, including setting up equipment and coordinating games or entertainment
· Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the beach area, including trash removal and equipment upkeep
· Support daily setup and breakdown of chairs, umbrellas, and beach equipment
Requirements & Qualifications
· Previous experience in lifeguarding or water safety highly preferred; certification required if applicable
· Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
· Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence
· Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with upset guests or coworkers
· Excellent people skills and ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members
· Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Strong problem-solving abilities; self-motivated and organized
· Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a team environment
· Willingness to work peak hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Encourages positive behaviors among coworkers and takes ownership of assigned responsibilities
· Maintains a neat and organized work area and takes pride in workplace appearance
· Knowledge of hospitality or recreational operations is a plus
· Experience working with children in recreational or hospitality settings preferred
Physical Demands
This position requires continuous outdoor activity and manual labor in a beach environment:
· Capable of working in extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, and occasional cold conditions
· Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours or more per shift)
· Fast-paced mobility across sand surfaces throughout the workday
· Reach, bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
· Move, transport, and set up beach equipment and supplies
· Frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds; occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
· Push and pull loaded beach carts and equipment
· Maintain alertness and awareness for extended outdoor shifts
