Skill: Business Analyst
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- Familiarity with rating, pricing, underwriting rules, and loss drivers.
- Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements (DOI filings, state specific rules).
- Experience with core modernization, replacement, or enhancement initiatives.
- Requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews, and SME sessions.
- Strong ability in requirements traceability (RTM) and change impact analysis.
- Convert business needs into system ready functional specifications.
- Strong experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
- Jira story creation, Backlog grooming, sprint support, and story clarification.
Close collaboration with:
- Product Owners.
- Solution Architects
- Developers & QA teams
Roles & Responsibilities
Creation of:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRD).
- Functional Requirements (FRD).
- User Stories with Acceptance Criteria.
- Use Cases and Process Flows.
- As Is / To Be process analysis across policy, underwriting, claims, and servicing.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
- Experience with STP (Straight Through Processing) and workflow enablement.
Salary Range - $120,000 – $160,000 a year
