Position Summary
The Sarasota Field Club is Looking for its next Expeditor/ Food Runner. This Individual serves as the critical link between the kitchen and dining room, ensuring that all food is presented accurately, attractively, and delivered promptly to guests. This position maintains quality control standards, organizes ticket flow, communicates effectively with both front and back of house teams, and supports exceptional guest experiences through efficient and professional service.
In a private club dining environment, the Food Runner / Expeditor is expected to maintain high standards of presentation, urgency, and hospitality while working in a fast-paced setting. This individual Must Have Experience to be considered
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room.
· Organize and prioritize tickets to ensure timely service.
· Verify each plate for accuracy, proper cooking temperatures, and presentation standards.
· Ensure garnishes, sauces, and accompaniments match menu specifications.
· Coordinate multiple stations to ensure complete orders are served together.
· Communicate special requests and dietary restrictions to kitchen staff.
· Deliver food promptly and professionally to guests.
· Assist servers with large parties and banquet functions.
· Inspect plates for cleanliness, consistency, and quality.
· Communicate delays, shortages, and special requests between kitchen and dining room.
· Stock, clean, and maintain expo and service stations.
· Assist with banquet plating and special events.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Restaurant, private club, hotel, or banquet experience preferred.
