Job Summary
Olive Tree Day School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Floater Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves implementing engaging curricula, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the diverse needs of children. Most of all we are looking for a teacher that loves Jesus and wants to be part of our team at OTDS.
This job starts at $18.00 an hour and hours are from 8 am - 3 pm Mon - Thurs. Please do not apply if the pay rate and schedule does not work for you. This position will start on August 31st, 2026.
Duties
- Assist all teachers and director on a daily basis.
- As a floater on our campus, you will be giving breaks to all teachers and working in all classrooms throughout the day.
- Preparing snack for the day and checking in on teachers as needed.
- Help prepare the classroom for nap time after the part time students have been dismissed for the day.
- Help the staff keep a clean and safe classroom environment.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- 12 ECE units Including Infant & Toddler Units
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; preschool or daycare experience is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
