Job Summary:
Under general supervision, maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment according to state and federal regulations which allows for safe and nutritional food to be served to patients and staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Attend work as scheduled.
- Adhere to Code of Conduct.
- Understand how to read recipes along with doubling and halving the yields.
- Prepare and serve meals for patients and staff.
- Understand proper protocol for sanitizing major and minor equipment.
- Clean-up from meals and food prep.
- Clean and sanitize dining room tables, counter tops, ice chest, and coffee/tea cart.
- Maintain adequate supplies of cups, coffee, and tea in break room.
- Stock all areas as required.
- Take out laundry and trash.
- Open and Close Kitchen.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Understanding how to read recipes along with doubling and halving the yields.
- Excellent time management skills to have meals go out on time.
- Ability to multitask.
- Have some computer knowledge.
- Good communication skills
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Will require some stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing/pulling with frequent standing and walking.
- Requires manual dexterity with the ability to perceive size, shape, temperature, or texture.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
