Do you have a passion for animals and enjoy staying busy? Heritage Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kennel Attendant to join our South Clinic team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on animal care, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and wants the opportunity to grow within a veterinary hospital.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn. At Heritage Animal Hospital, we believe in cross-training our team members, so there are opportunities to learn additional departments and develop new skills as you gain experience.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
- Every other weekend (morning and evening kennel care)
- Holiday rotation
- When scheduled for a weekend, you'll receive time off during the week.
- Additional hours may be available based on clinic needs and training.
Responsibilities
- Feed, walk, medicate (as trained), and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets
- Clean kennels, cages, runs, and hospital areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment
- Monitor animal behavior and report concerns to medical staff
- Laundry, dishes, and general housekeeping
- Assist other departments as needed and participate in cross-training opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Able to work independently, especially during weekend shifts
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous animal care or veterinary experience is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
