An expanding biotechnology company is looking for a Research Associate to support drug development projects, focused on oncology, immunology, and protein data. Candidates will be given the opportunity to participate in projects of increasing complexity pertaining to method development and genetic perturbation experiments.
Responsibilities:
- Expression of antibodies and novel biologic samples
- Support recombinant and chromatographic protein expression, purification, and molecular biology through cell culture expression (bacterial & mammalian)
- Support constructs preparation through various molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA preparation, and high-throughput screening
- Improve productivity of cell lines/processes
- Analyze immune responses using techniques that include (but are not limited to) cell culture, neutralization assays, ELISAs, and more
Requirements:
- Strong BS/MS degree in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, bioengineering, etc
- 1+ years of experience in recombinant DNA technologies, biochemical assays, protein expression enzymatic assays, cell transformation, CRISPR, etc)
- Gene synthesis research desired
- Industry experience highly preferred
