The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Grease Monkey Quick Lube location. This role ensures efficient service delivery, exceptional customer experience, team leadership, and achievement of sales and performance goals. The Service Store Manager is accountable for maintaining brand standards, safety compliance, and operational excellence at our Tempe, AZ location. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of multiple shop's operations, including sales, services, and administration
- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue and profitability
- Manage a team of technicians, service advisors, and other staff
- Oversee day-to-day shop operations, ensuring fast, accurate, and high-quality service.
- Maintain compliance with Grease Monkey standards, policies, and safety procedures.
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure proper inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies and products.
- Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners
- Manage inventory and budgets
- Track and analyze key performance indicators
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise technicians and service staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
- Foster a positive, high-energy, and customer-focused work environment.
- Enforce company policies and handle employee relations issues as needed.
Customer Service
- Ensure every customer receives prompt, professional, and friendly service.
- Resolve customer concerns or complaints effectively and in a timely manner.
- Promote customer retention and loyalty through excellent service experiences.
Sales & Performance
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, ticket average, and car count.
- Develop strategies to meet or exceed store goals and targets.
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, and automotive fluids.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to automotive services.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional facility standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a management role within an automotive shop
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and trends
- Proven track record of success in driving revenue and profitability
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in automotive maintenance principles and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer skills using email, Google drive, Excel, etc.
