Job Summary:
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinology Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive endocrine care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The physician will manage complex metabolic and hormonal disorders while working collaboratively with Advanced Practice Providers and facility staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site endocrinology consults for SNF/LTC residents
- Diagnose and manage complex endocrine conditions including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and adrenal disorders
- Oversee insulin management, endocrine therapies, and treatment optimization
- Order, interpret, and act on laboratory and diagnostic studies
- Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and interdisciplinary teams
- Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on metabolic disease outcomes
- Ensure documentation meets CMS and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
- Fellowship training in Endocrinology preferred
- Active and unrestricted New York State medical license
- DEA registration
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology
- Experience in SNF/LTC settings preferred
