Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree including or in addition to, 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field.
-AND-
One Year of Full-Time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program AND two Year of experience supervising staff in a childcare program or a related field of work.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of daycare center operations, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and compliance with licensing regulations
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and community partners through effective communication and support
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by enforcing health and safety policies, conducting regular safety audits, and maintaining proper child supervision at all times
- Oversee classroom management to promote engaging learning experiences aligned with early childhood education standards
- Coordinate staff schedules, facilitate ongoing training in areas such as first aid, CPR, child development instruction, behavior management, and special education needs
- Monitor adherence to mandated reporting laws and ensure staff are trained on legal responsibilities related to child protection
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incident reports, developmental progress, and licensing documentation
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom experience and daycare center management
- Strong background in early childhood education principles, childhood development, infant care, toddler care, and preschool teaching methods
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs to support inclusive learning environments
- Knowledge of child supervision techniques, behavior management strategies, and classroom management best practices
- Familiarity with pediatric first aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain) along with first aid training specific to childcare settings
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and needs
- Prior leadership or director experience in a childcare or daycare setting is a must

Pay: $38,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
