Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated professional for a 12-month assignment located in San Antonio, TX 78264. This position requires approximately 5% domestic travel and involves a 20% overtime commitment. While we prioritize candidates with a strong structural background, we are open to versatile individuals who possess relevant experience in ACS-related fields.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the design, initial setup, and commissioning processes for ACS-integrated building systems.

Offer expert technical guidance during the evaluation of equipment submittals, engineering schematics, shop drawings, and contractor-submitted RFIs.

Ensure all ACS installation activities, such as steel and concrete column placement, slab work, and prefabricated building assembly, strictly adhere to OSHA safety protocols and industry best practices.

Maintain comprehensive expertise regarding current building codes and professional standards, including IBC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, and FM.

Collaborate with vendors and construction teams to streamline the delivery, inspection, and final handover of steel and structural components to end users.

Facilitate the scheduling of weekend and plant shutdown activities alongside manufacturing shops and facilities departments.

Perform ongoing evaluations to monitor the status and quality of work progress.

Assist in construction administration by managing utility outages, weekly coordination meetings, and quality assurance tasks to keep the project on schedule.

Verify that electrical building systems are installed in full alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Supervise general, steel, and foundation contractors to ensure project milestones are met and work remains synchronized across all teams.

Generate detailed field engineering reports to keep Project Managers informed on schedule status and site progress.

Contribute valuable insights to refine and enhance technical standards and project specifications.

Demonstrate the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly through both verbal and written communication.

Manage multiple priorities effectively to ensure all project commitments are met within established deadlines.
Required Qualifications

Possess between 5 and 10 years of professional experience.

Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Demonstrate at least 2 years of hands-on construction management experience.

Showcase a background in developing design criteria specifically for ACS systems.

Bring relevant experience from the automotive sector, such as engine, vehicle, or transmission facility projects.

Maintain at least 5 years of experience within the structural design and installation field.
-
Exhibit strong capabilities in organization, communication, and schedule management.

Maintain proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Teams.
Additional Desired Qualifications

Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Build.
Technical Proficiencies

Professional Engineer (PE) License.

Knowledge of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
