Patient Care Coordinator / Insurance Verification Specialist

Responsibilities
· Welcome patients with a warm, professional, concierge-level experience.
· Answer incoming phone calls and schedule new and existing patient appointments.
· Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and hearing aid coverage prior to appointments.
· Obtain prior authorizations and communicate patient financial responsibility when applicable.
· Check patients in and out while ensuring all paperwork is complete.
· Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system.
· Coordinate referrals and communicate with physician offices as needed.
· Collect payments and process daily financial transactions.
· Assist providers with administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.
· Make outbound calls to confirm appointments, follow up with patients, and reconnect with inactive patients.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
· Work closely with the clinical team to create an exceptional patient experience.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 2 years of customer service or medical office experience preferred.
· Experience verifying medical insurance benefits is strongly preferred.
· Excellent communication and telephone skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office.
· Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.
· Positive attitude, dependable, and team-oriented.
· Experience in hearing healthcare, ENT, audiology, or another medical specialty is a plus but not required.
