Job Summary
Wood Herron & Evans is seeking a Marketing / Human Resources Assistant to perform administrative and staff support duties to support the Human Resources and the Relationship Development Manager. The individual must demonstrate the highest level of personal integrity, professionalism, and work ethic as well as delivering a high level of customer service for internal and external customers. They must be meticulous at task management and execution excellence. Easily adapts to changing environments and multiple competing demands. Is equally comfortable working as an individual or in a group setting and able to interact with all levels of management.
The HR and Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting our HR operations and executing marketing initiatives. This position requires an energetic, creative, detail-oriented, organized individual with strong communication skills and experience in social media management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our brand visibility, manage digital marketing campaigns, coordinate recruitment efforts, and assist with internal communications.
HR Responsibilities
- Hiring – Work with HR Manager to screen, log and coordinate hiring process including interview scheduling, status notifications to candidates, conducting background checks and reference checks. Entering new hire personal information in online portal prior to first day to prepare compensation and benefits.
- Onboarding – Inform new hires of what to expect their first day, prepare orientation packets and organizational announcements.
- Compliance – Maintain compliance with legal standards and regulations such as completion and verification of I-9 documents, executing FMLA documents and ensuring adherence to the ADA, DOL, FLSA and EEO.
- Record Keeping – Utilize HRIS to maintain important documents, create personnel files and audit documents annually.
Marketing Responsibilities
- Develop and schedule social media posts across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- Create engaging internal newsletters to keep firm informed and connected.
- Manage and update content on the company’s CRM platform.
- Assist in organizing marketing campaigns and events.
- Monitor and analyze social media and marketing performance metrics.
- Manage digital marketing platforms such as WordPress websites, Google Analytics tools.
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences to inform marketing strategies.
- Create compelling copy for various marketing materials, including blog posts, newsletters, social media posts, and advertisements.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
Familiarity with CRM platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Handling sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
