Security Investigations Assistant – Video & Incident Review

Job Description
Howard Industries is seeking a detail-oriented, computer-comfortable individual to support Human Resources and Security investigations. This is not a traditional security guard position and does not require prior law enforcement experience.
The Security Investigations Assistant uses our video surveillance and computer systems to review incidents, gather information, identify relevant activity, document findings, and assist HR and Security with workplace investigations and the protection of employees and company property.
Essential Duties:
- Review recorded and live video related to workplace incidents, security concerns, accidents, theft, policy violations, and other investigations.
- Search through video footage to identify people, vehicles, products, property, and relevant events.
- Track activity across multiple cameras and time periods to reconstruct what occurred.
- Assist HR and Security personnel by gathering and organizing information for investigations.
- Document observations clearly and accurately.
- Preserve relevant video and investigative information.
- Use computer systems and investigative tools to locate and review information.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company matters.
- Assist with other security and investigative assignments as needed.
You do not need to be a police officer or have a law enforcement background.

- Is very comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Has strong attention to detail and notices things other people may miss.
- Can watch video carefully and remain focused for extended periods.
- Enjoys figuring out what happened, when it happened, and who or what was involved.
- Can follow a person, vehicle, or item across multiple camera views.
- Thinks logically and can piece together information from different sources.
- Communicates findings clearly and objectively.
- Uses good judgment and understands the importance of confidentiality.
- Can work independently while supporting HR and Security personnel.
Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
