Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, suspension, steering, and brake systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, air, and fuel systems
- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs
- Complete engine, drivetrain, suspension, and chassis repairs
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed
- Maintain accurate repair orders and service records
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work with shop management to prioritize repairs and minimize vehicle downtime
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of heavy-duty truck repair experience required
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and commercial vehicle systems
- Experience using diagnostic software and repair equipment
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required)
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
