Sweet Mary's Bakery in Akron, OH is looking for one friendly, motivated individual to fill our open Kitchen Assistant position. Qualified applicants will be over 18, and must be available a minimum of 20 hours (and up to 40) between Tuesday – Sunday (Morning & Afternoons), and will have worked in a commercial kitchen before.

Responsibilities

Food prep as needed for current menu: zesting/juicing citrus, shredding cheese, chopping & roasting produce
- Making basic recipes including doughs, fillings, frostings, gravy, chicken salad & egg salad
- Making Sandwiches and assisting FOH as expediter when needed
- Assist rest of staff with daily shop cleaning, stocking & inventory
Qualifications

Must be at least 18
- Availability for a minimum of 20 hours per week during our working hours (Tuesday - Sunday, mornings & afternoons) - at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) required each week - those are our busiest days.
- Able to start the work day at 6am or earlier as required.

- Some prior food prep experience required, bakery/cafe experience preferred.
