Light Christian Academy is a private Christian school. We are seeking a passionate Lower Elementary teacher for a small class of students (less than 10 students). Teaching at Light Christian Academy is a calling and a ministry.
Job summary
- Possessing a desire to teach at a school with a Biblical and patriotic worldview
- Prepare lessons in accordance with curriculum (Abeka), agreed standards, and stipulated time frame
- Deliver engaging lessons using various materials & teaching techniques - including the use of technology
- Ability to use computers and technology to complete work tasks (Google Workspace and FACTS)
- Maintain good attendance, be punctual and committed
- Possessing a "teachable" spirit - being willing to grow and learn as a teacher
- Collaborate with and support other staff; be a team player
- Follow LCA guidelines and the LCA Employee Manual
- Participate in periodic events, community projects, and student performances
- Attend weekly teachers’ meetings, morning meetings, and professional development sessions on-site and off-site (There are usually 2 PD sessions in the summer besides the ones throughout the school year.)
- Inspire and support all students to reach their full potential - academically, spiritually, and socially.
- Maintain order and organization inside and outside the classroom
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
