Overview
Sea Pac Engineering is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Elevator Installation Technician Trainees.
This position is intended for candidates who have basic construction, mechanical, electrical, or field experience and are interested in developing a career in elevator installation. Extensive elevator experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who are mechanically inclined, comfortable working in the field, and willing to learn through hands-on training.
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to receive hands-on elevator installation training under experienced field supervision, which may include travel to project or training locations such as Puerto Rico and other locations. Travel expenses for company-required training will be covered by the company.
Following training, successful candidates will have the opportunity to continue working on elevator installation projects primarily in the Los Angeles area. We are also looking for individuals with the potential to grow into leadership and Foreman roles as they gain experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of elevator systems and related mechanical and electrical components
- Work directly with experienced elevator installation personnel and receive hands-on field training
- Learn proper installation procedures, tools, equipment, and jobsite safety requirements
- Assist with measuring, layout, assembly, material handling, and installation activities
- Learn to read and understand basic construction drawings, installation drawings, and technical documents
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements
- Travel to training locations and project sites when required
- Develop the skills necessary to work independently and potentially advance into a lead or Foreman position
Requirements
- Some prior experience in construction, mechanical work, electrical work, equipment installation, maintenance, or another related field preferred
- Basic knowledge and experience using hand and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on field work
- No extensive elevator experience required
- Strong willingness to learn elevator installation through field training
- Ability and willingness to travel for training and project assignments, including Puerto Rico and other locations as needed
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a field team
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Leadership potential is a plus for candidates interested in future Foreman opportunities

Pay: $25.88 - $31.17 per hour
