We are seeking a Line Cook & Culinary Production Associate who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and creating memorable experiences through food.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of culinary work rather than the pace of a traditional restaurant line. The position supports multiple areas of our operation, including breakfast preparation, cocktail hour service, special events, and guest amenities.
What You'll Do
Cocktail Hour & Small Plates Service
- Prepare and execute a rotating menu of small plates and light bites during our evening cocktail hour
- Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Ensure all items are prepared and served in accordance with food safety standards
- Support smooth kitchen operations during service periods
Breakfast Preparation & Baking
- Prepare ingredients and components for Saratoga Arms' acclaimed breakfast service
- Bake house-made breads, pastries, muffins, cookies, granola, and other specialty items
- Assist with breakfast production as needed
- Maintain prep lists and production schedules
Guest Amenities & In-Room Experiences
- Prepare and package in-room food amenities, welcome gifts, charcuterie boards, snack boxes, and special occasion offerings
- Ensure all guest-facing food presentations reflect luxury hospitality standards
- Collaborate with the Front Desk and Concierge teams to fulfill guest requests and special celebrations
Events & Catering Support
- Assist with food preparation for private events, showers, meetings, retreats, and special hotel programming
- Support menu execution for seasonal events and holiday experiences
- Help maintain inventory and prepare event-specific mise en place
Kitchen Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures
- Support inventory management and waste reduction efforts
What We're Looking For
- Previous culinary, baking, prep cook, or line cook experience preferred
- Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable balancing multiple projects and priorities throughout the day
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
What Makes This Role Different
Unlike a traditional restaurant line cook position, this role offers variety and creativity. One day you may be baking fresh pastries for breakfast, preparing elegant charcuterie boards for arriving guests, and executing small plates for cocktail hour. Another day may include supporting a bridal shower, creating special anniversary amenities, or helping prepare seasonal culinary experiences.
