Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Senior Operations Research Analyst/Data Scientist to support a highly visible new FAA project in the initial stand up of executable processes and analytics at the direction of FAA management for pre-departure planning.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
The successful candidate will have:

Have deep expertise in data collection and modeling in support of the federal government and preferably in support of FAA mission

Deep analytical thinking, strong programming skills, and the ability to translate highly technical data into actionable, strategic recommendations for non-technical stakeholders

Have some background in air traffic management and airport operations including FAA traffic flow management practices

Possess broad knowledge of operations research procedures, methodologies, and can provide technical expertise in the application of state-of-the-art technology to meet FAA mission and aerospace requirements

Flexible work schedule that may require working at FAA in-person and cover nights, weekends and even some holidays during the year as this is in support of a national and highly visible FAA project

Potentially be on call to cover shifts when anticipated higher days of operations or team members are unavailable/on scheduled vacation

Must have at least 10 years of professional years of experience supporting projects as an Operations Research Analyst but preferably in support of the FAA/NASA or at least the federal government

Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering (e.g. Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics) or related field
Salary: $120,000 to $130,000 annually. Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications.
