Overview
Join our dynamic sales team as an Inside Sales Support / Lead Generator and become a vital driver of the growth of our 1,500+ acre, family-owned nursery! In this role, you will leverage your communication, customer service, and sales skills to identify, engage, and qualify potential customers through outbound calling and warm outreach. Customers in our industry are not interested in high-pressure sales personalities or tactics. Genuine interactions, positive attitude, curiosity, listening, and asking simple, intentional questions will help build strong relationships, support the sales pipeline, and contribute to closing deals.
This paid position offers a great opportunity to develop your inside sales skills in the wholesale nursery industry, which is a growth opportunity with high demand for experienced sales people.
The purpose of this role is for team members to identify leads and add new contacts to our CRM, but we will also be intentionally looking for people with great attitudes and work ethic as candidates for roles in our Sales Team and other areas of the company!
Base Pay: $16.80/hour + Bonus Structure for customer conversion
Responsibilities
- - Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers , utilizing warm and curious calling techniques to generate leads and nurture relationships
- - Qualify potential customers and identify sales opportunities that align customer needs
- - Collaborate with the inside sales team using CRM software such as Salesforce and other sales automation tools
- - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, follow-ups, and lead status within CRM systems
- - Support the sales process by engaging potential customers, specifically buyers, to learn about them, their operation, ordering interests, business objectives, and connect it with how we can support their success
- - Engage potential clients in a professional, friendly manner that fosters trust and interest
Qualifications
- - Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to ask thoughtful, provocative questions, provide the answers you have confidently, and be quick to say "I don't know, but I will get you an answer for you", when necessary
- - General familiarity with CRM software preferred but not required
- - Ability to handle outbound calling campaigns professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
- - Strong, basic computer skills required for email follow-up communication using templates and/or generating communications, including: downloading and attaching documents
