We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Floater to join our Head Start team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children, families, and staff, ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment. This individual will help prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for students as well. This position requires flexibility, mindfulness, and a passion for working with children. This individual will work Monday-Thursday 7:15AM-2:15PM. This position is subject to a temporary layoff during the summer months while classes are not in session.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide regular breaks to teachers at designated sites.

Oversee meal and snack preparation for classrooms, ensuring timely distribution.

Support in cleaning dishes and infant bottles.

Act as a substitute teacher when needed.

Grocery shopping for classroom snacks and meals, following USDA guidelines.

Engage with children during classroom time, assist teachers with projects, and support lesson preparations.

Assist with classroom material inventory and setup, adhering to ITERS, ECERS, and Creative Curriculum standards.

Support individualized student needs as required.

Follow all policies, procedures, and Head Start Performance Standards.

Access to reliable transportation

High school diploma or equivalent

Bilingual in English & Spanish- $1 per hour incentive given in classrooms with qualifying enrollment
Preferred but not required...

CPR with AED knowledge & First Aid certification for children and adults

Previous childcare experience or education highly preferred
