Overview
COMPASS VAN & STORAGE CORP. is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Logistics Coordinator to support daily moving, storage, and transportation operations. This role is responsible for coordinating customer moves, managing schedules, maintaining inventory documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between clients, drivers, warehouse teams, and service providers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in managing logistics processes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate residential and commercial moving operations from initial scheduling through completion
- Communicate with customers regarding move details, timelines, service requirements, and updates
- Schedule and coordinate moving crews, drivers, warehouse activities, and transportation resources
- Maintain accurate customer records, inventory documentation, and shipment information
- Track moving orders and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately
- Assist with storage coordination, inventory management, and warehouse organization processes
- Prepare moving documents, service reports, invoices, and operational records
- Resolve scheduling issues and coordinate solutions between customers and operations teams
- Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards
- Support continuous improvement of logistics workflows and customer service processes
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, moving services, storage operations, or customer coordination preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work effectively with customers, drivers, and operations teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with moving industry software, dispatch systems, inventory management platforms, or CRM systems
- Familiarity with transportation scheduling and route coordination
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, packing procedures, and storage processes
- Experience with logistics management systems such as TMS or inventory tracking software is a plus
- Previous experience working with relocation companies, freight operations, or third-party logistics providers preferred
