Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Patron Services Coordinator will oversee all box office functions for Junior Theatre’s main stage and black box productions, including managing the student matinee program and training and supervising student front-of-house crew members.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of ticket sales and reporting for all JT productions
- Oversee daily box office operations, including public sales and family ticket requests
- Oversee and manage student matinee program, communicating with schools from reservations through final payments, creating seating plans, and representing Junior Theatre at student matinee performances to ensure smooth arrivals and departures
- Act as a primary customer service representative for Junior Theatre patrons
- Provide attendance updates
- Provide financial reports on each production
- Reconcile box office receipts with Financial Consultant, producing detailed reports for each production, and working with Office Manager and Financial Consultant to ensure reporting is accurate for annual audit
- Manage ticketing software, set up ticketed events, track program updates, and troubleshoot issues
- Train and manage student box office and front-of-house crew, and coordinate with adult front-of-house volunteers
- Oversee box office and front-of-house operations at performances
- Prepare regular check and cash deposits
- Track and order box office supplies
- Database management in conjunction with other JT staff members
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Customer service and/or box office experience
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Exceptional attention to detail
· A friendly and professional demeanor
· Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and G-Suite
· Good technical understanding and ability to learn new techniques quickly
· Ability to work as a team player
· Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
· Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding internal affairs and student matters
Desired:
· Experience working with arts-focused nonprofit strongly preferred
· Experience with Patron Manager CRM and Salesforce platform preferred
· Experience in a supervisory position with the ability to oversee student and parent volunteers
· Familiarity with Junior Theatre programs, processes, and policies a plus
· Experience working with youth a plus
Additional Information: This position requires a criminal background check prior to hire, and successful completion of California State Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, and Workplace Violence Prevention Training.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
