Job Description
ServPro Team Jones is looking for a Construction Estimator to join our team. This position will be responsible for estimating construction projects and managing the entire process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience with estimating, and will be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Estimate projects from inception to completion
- Prepare bid packages and proposals for review by clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Prepare estimates for clients based on information provided by project team members
- Negotiate prices with vendors and subcontractors
- Prepare material lists and purchase orders for projects
- Perform job site inspections to confirm material inventory, labor, and equipment availability
- Prepare purchase orders for materials and equipment needed for projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills
- BA in engineering, construction science or similar relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating or project management preferred
- Experience with project management software preferred
- Ability to proficiently use Xactimate™ estimating software
- Strong communication skills; ability to work with all levels of staff from project inception to completion. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of staff including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other internal stakeholders
- Advanced math skills
- Proven history of providing excellent customer service
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well as a team
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Walking and/or standing throughout the day. Frequent driving and sitting. Occasionally climbing ladders. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions such as heat. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites can be loud.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,613.00 - $64,615.00 per year
