Overview
The Housekeeper supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our establishment. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and housekeeping management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the hotel.
- Stay updated on industry trends in hospitality and cleaning practices to enhance service delivery.
- Comply with special needs and requests of the guests, VIPs and repeat visitors
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services, with a focus on industrial cleaning preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
