Duties
- Step into preschool classrooms to deliver seamless coverage during teacher or assistant absences, ensuring continuity of instruction and care
- Assist with implementing curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, including literacy, math, social skills, and motor activities
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering respectful interactions among children
- Help organize and supervise activities such as circle time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and storytime to keep children engaged and motivated
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop lesson plans aligned with educational standards like Montessori or other early childhood frameworks
- Maintain open communication with children, parents, and team members to promote a welcoming and transparent environment
- Support children with special needs or those working with autism by applying inclusive teaching strategies and behavior management techniques
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool, childcare, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Experience working with children who have special needs or require individualized support is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments while maintaining patience and professionalism
