Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper AP/AR Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensure accurate recording of financial transactions, and support the overall integrity of our financial records. Your expertise in various accounting software and understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) will help us maintain compliance and streamline our financial operations. Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Accounts Payable:
- Input all P.O’s, Invoices, and check requests into QuickBooks as they are received
- Review payables weekly with CFO
- Cut checks and forward for signature/authorization weekly
- Mail out all payments to corresponding Vendors
- Print and mail all 1099’s for qualifying Vendors by end of January. Input all State and Federal tax forms into the appropriate tax filing system.
· Accounts Receivable:
- ProCare - Input all client financial information and corresponding tuition agreement into system
- Update and correct any tuition changes as they come in
- Review A/R aging on a weekly basis and send out past due statements & emails to any delinquent client
- Process billing, including agency billing, and credit card transactions every Thursday through ProCare
- Post all West St. & Gymnastics deposits into QuickBooks as they are received.
- Return all emails/phone calls to parents within 24 hours after they are received
- Send out all Tax Statements to parents by the end of January
- Close working relationship with School Base. Communication is key: convey information to School Base regarding delinquent accounts and/or terminated clients
- Post monthly Care4Kids payments in ProCare
Other:
- Daily errands, bank and sometimes post office
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Degree in Accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop software
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrates leadership ability, confidence and executive presence ability to motivate staff and speak with parents
- Experience or familiarity with ProCare is helpful

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
