Join our dynamic team as a Patient Responsibility Representative, where your role is vital in ensuring smooth financial interactions between patients and our organization. You will serve as a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for patients navigating their financial responsibilities, helping them understand their bills, insurance coverage, and payment options. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient experiences while supporting the administrative backbone of our healthcare services.
Duties
- Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits, their patient responsibility and payment plans in a clear and compassionate manner
- Collect payments and set up payment arrangements while maintaining compliance with financial policies
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding account balances and attempts to pay.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all patient interactions, payments received, and follow up actions taken.
- Creating and sending invoices and payment arrangement notices to patients.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service with a positive, proactive attitude
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D required
- Administrative or clerical experience preferred
- Experience in behavioral health/treatment required
- Proficiency in Google Office Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets etc.)
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations preferred
- Strong communication (verbal/written), empathy, ability to multitask, and the ability to work in high stress situations
Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
