About Vector Solutions
Vector Solutions, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that delivers specialized analysis, technical services, and program and mission support to the Department of Defense and Federal agencies. We pair the agility of a small business with deep defense domain expertise on demanding, mission-critical work.
About the Role
Vector is hiring an Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Analyst to support a United States Air Force headquarters staff organization in the National Capital Region. In this role you turn complex air and missile defense information into clear, decision-ready products for senior leaders. You will work alongside a senior IAMD subject matter expert, support IAMD priorities across the kill chain, and help keep mission alignment on track. This is a mid-level position for a strong writer and confident briefer who thrives in a fast-moving staff environment. This position is contingent upon contract award, expected September 2026.
What You Will Do
- Provide day-to-day analytical support to IAMD priorities across the kill chain, including find, fix, track, target, engage, and assess, and support integration across sensors, shooters, and command and control.
- Research, compile, and synthesize data on air and missile defense systems, threats, and capabilities into concise staff products.
- Draft briefings, talking points, point papers, and staff packages for senior leadership and move them through the staffing process.
- Track taskers, actions, and suspenses to closure and coordinate responses across staff, Joint, and interagency stakeholders.
- Support requirements analysis, capability gap assessments, and integration efforts.
- Maintain trackers and read-ahead materials and support meetings, working groups, and senior-leader engagements.
- Ensure every product meets staff formatting, quality, and classification-handling standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
- Bachelor's degree and three (3) to seven (7) years of relevant Department of Defense, Joint, or Air Force staff experience. Equivalent military experience is considered in place of the degree.
- Working knowledge of IAMD concepts, the kill chain, air and missile defense systems, and the current threat environment.
- Strong analytical writing and the ability to brief senior leaders clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Able to work on-site in the National Capital Region on a hybrid schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience on an Air Force headquarters staff, the Joint Staff, or the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
- Background in missile defense, air defense, or strategic deterrence, including work with organizations such as the Missile Defense Agency, NORAD, or U.S. Northern Command.
- Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
- Experience with tasker and action-tracking tools, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Relevant certifications or completed professional military education.
