Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Manager to lead all housekeeping operations and ensure our hotel consistently delivers a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. This leadership role is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining brand standards, managing inventory and laundry operations, conducting inspections, and fostering a positive and engaging work environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and is passionate about developing teams while maintaining exceptional cleanliness and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, coach, and motivate housekeeping team members to maintain high levels of productivity, quality, and morale.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to review occupancy, special requests, staffing needs, and departmental goals.
- Create and manage daily room assignments and housekeeping boards through Quore using tablets.
- Complete and submit required housekeeping checklists and reports in Quore to ensure operational compliance.
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, storage rooms, and back-of-house spaces.
- Perform routine inspections of guestrooms and public areas to verify cleanliness, maintenance needs, and readiness for guest arrivals.
- Maintain compliance with brand standards, company policies, OSHA regulations, and health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate closely with the Front Office Manager, Maintenance Department, and General Manager to address room status updates, preventive maintenance, and guest concerns.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of linens, guest amenities, cleaning chemicals, and housekeeping supplies while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Manage Lost and Found procedures, ensuring proper documentation, storage, and disposition in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
- Promote employee engagement through coaching, recognition, open communication, and ongoing development opportunities.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery situations to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the General Manager or hotel leadership team to support hotel operations and guest experience.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience in hotel housekeeping operations.
- Previous experience working in a hotel environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience using Quore or similar housekeeping and task management software required.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping procedures, laundry operations, inventory management, and commercial cleaning practices.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, chemical handling procedures, and hospitality safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality-related education is preferred.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
