Overview
We are a small, family-owned business in search of an HVAC Service Technician to become a vital part of our company. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across diverse property types. Your expertise and training will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety for our customers. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals & tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Install new HVAC components and systems in compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for emergency repairs or scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Utilize a variety of tools and welding equipment to repair electrical components or mechanical parts.
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all performed tasks ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a vehicle is required.
- Ability to perform leak detection.
- Skilled in welding, welding safety procedures, and general construction practices related to HVAC installation or repairs.
- Ability to perform leak detection.
- Knowledge of field service operations with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be able to speak with customers and hold a business relationship with them.
- Ability to be able to maintain a close working relationship with the suppliers to retrieve the best pricing on material and parts.
- To be a team player and have communication skills. That is key.
- To be able to prioritize jobs with the daily schedule and stay organized.
- Able to take direction from management, but also be able to lead on your own.
- Knowledge of scheduling program, Wex, is helpful but not required. You will be trained on using it.
- Ability to also help with Rough-Ins, Trim Outs, & complete start-ups for new construction jobs when needed.
- Certifications or training in HVAC.
