About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide pediatric care for newborns, children, adolescents, and young adults. This includes well-child visits, sick visits, follow-up care, preventive counseling, medication management, and family education.
The ideal candidate is clinically thoughtful, organized, kind, and comfortable working in a busy pediatric office. Pediatric experience and certification is required.
Responsibilities
Provide pediatric primary care, including well visits, acute care sick visits, and follow-up appointments.
Evaluate and manage common pediatric concerns, including newborn care, breastfeeding support, respiratory illnesses, rashes, ear infections, asthma, allergies, Sports physicals, minor trauma, ADHD follow-ups, obesity, acne, behavioral health concerns, and adolescent health issues.
Perform histories, physical exams, assessments, treatment plans, prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up recommendations.
Educate families regarding diagnoses, medications, vaccines, nutrition, growth, development, safety, and preventive care.
Document visits accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
Collaborate with the physician, other advance practitioners, Lactation Specialist, medical assistants, front desk team, and care coordinators.
Follow and help develop practice protocols for patient care, communication, lab follow-up, referrals, forms, and medication refills.

Qualifications
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Florida.
Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
Current DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
Current BLS certification.
Strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to work well with families, children, clinicians, and staff.
Comfortable using an electronic health record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pediatric primary care.
Experience with ADHD follow-up, asthma, obesity counseling, adolescent care, preventive pediatrics, and behavioral health concerns.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
