American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license, with night shift availability and hospital-wide float coverage including the ED.

Hospital-based float pool position covering PCU, Med/Surg, and ED hold units
-
Patient population includes post-surgical, medical, PCU stepdown, and ED hold patients
-
Floating is required hospital-wide, including the Emergency Department
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities

Local candidates are accepted

Active GA or compact RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

PCU, Med/Surg, or ED experience required given float pool scope

Current certifications must be provided at time of consideration

No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests will be accommodated

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two of them and may request one holiday off

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required on time; delays result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule

Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
