Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a range of specialties and ensuring clear and accurate imaging results.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout the examination.
- Apply aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments during invasive or sensitive procedures.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to optimize imaging quality and interpret preliminary findings.
- Operate sophisticated medical imaging equipment with precision, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnosis planning.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, images, and patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sonographer or ultrasound technician in a clinical setting--preference is for a vascular sonographer with plenty of general sonography experience. Echo experience is a big plus and can be used to negotiate better compensation
- Demonstrated proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including diagnostic radiology principles.
- Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound procedures.
- Hands-on experience maintaining aseptic technique during invasive or sensitive examinations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

Pay: $37.00 - $55.00 per hour
