Position Summary
The Lead Installer / Foreman will be responsible for leading low-voltage security installations, coordinating project materials, troubleshooting systems, supporting technicians, and ensuring work is completed professionally and correctly.
The ideal candidate has experience with access control, video surveillance, networking, integrations, and service work. This role is a good fit for someone who is motivated, dependable, willing to keep learning, and ready to take ownership in the field.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation teams in the field
- Run projects from start to finish
- Plan cable routes and installation strategies
- Coordinate installations, materials, and project needs
- Order and manage materials as needed
- Coordinate with electricians and other trades
- Commission security systems
- Troubleshoot systems, service calls, and networking issues
- Work with access control and camera systems
- Support cloud and on-premise deployments
- Train customers on completed systems
- Mentor and guide newer technicians
- Maintain professionalism and quality on job sites
Experience & Skills
Qualified candidates should have experience with:
- Low-voltage security systems
- Access control systems
- Video surveillance/camera systems
- Network troubleshooting
- System integrations
- Cloud and on-premise deployments
- Service calls and system troubleshooting
- Commercial or industrial security projects
Ideal experience includes:
- 3–7 years of low-voltage, security, or structured cabling experience
- Experience running larger access control installs
- Experience with 10+ door access control projects
- Multi-site restaurant audio systems
- Industrial camera systems
- Service contract or maintenance work
- Field leadership or foreman experience
