Summary Description: The Office and Legislative Assistant is a full-time, in-office role that provides administrative, receptionist, and office management and support while assisting with daily operations and runner/legislative services to ensure the efficient functioning of the office.

· Serves as the first point of contact by providing professional reception and front-office support to clients, visitors and staff.
· Supports daily office operations through a variety of administrative and organizational tasks that ensure an efficient workplace.
· Coordinates conference room scheduling and provides meeting preparation and support.
· Assists with planning and execution of office events, legislative sessions, and related activities.
· Manages visitor assistance, incoming calls, scheduling, office supply inventory, and other general office needs to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
· Provides support to the government affairs and lobbyist team members during Missouri’s legislative session(s).
Job Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma required, associates degree or other additional education preferred
· Licenses and/or Certifications: N/A
· Experience: 2+ years of experience in an office setting; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Law firm experience or familiarity with Missouri legislature or government offices preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:N/A
Physical Activity: The employee will be required to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
Offsite Activities: Employees may be asked to deliver documents or items to various government offices and/or to assist with in-person meetings or hearings at the Missouri State Capital Building or other locations in Jefferson City or elsewhere.
