Overview
H&H Express, Inc., is a family friendly, fast paced environment, seeking a full-time Night CDL driver to join our team. Position requires a Class A CDL & DOT Medical Card.
This NIGHT position begins at 5 pm until approximately 3 am. Driver will assist with loading & unloading trailer. This run is from Spokane Valley to Missoula MT Monday - Friday. Driver must be proficient in winter driving as this route runs regardless of weather. Starting pay is $58,000.00 plus incentive bonus upon performance review.
Must be a self-starter & be willing to jump in & help when needed. Must be dependable. Knowledge of manual transmission is preferred. Must have a clean driving record for insurance purposes. Must be able to pass pre-employment & random drug tests. Must be self-motivated & a team player. Must be able to use a pallet jack, hand cart & forklift.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions.
- Unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack & hand cart. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety on the road.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for all shipments and vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers and specialized trucks.
- Proven experience in truck driving, delivery routes, or freight transportation.
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles and operating various truck types.
- Experience with freight handling including load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving, including DOT compliance and hours-of-service rules.
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections thoroughly and identify maintenance needs proactively.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers.
