Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mobile Unit Assembly Technician to assist in the construction and outfitting of mobile units. This role involves hands-on assembly work using power tools and mechanical components, ensuring all equipment is properly installed, aligned, tested, and meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mobile units and related components according to specifications and drawings
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Perform fitting, mounting, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical and electrical components
- Conduct operational testing to ensure proper function of assembled equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical or equipment issues during the assembly process
- Perform quality checks to verify workmanship, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
- Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and workplace regulations at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate any defects, issues, or improvement opportunities to supervisors
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1-2 year of related assembly experience required
Must have tools
- Experience using power tools and hand tools in a mechanical or assembly environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, schematics, or technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical or equipment issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices
- Physical ability to lift, position, and work with heavy components as required
*Must pass background check and drug test
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
- Previous experience with wireline units, oilfield equipment, or heavy equipment assembly
- Mechanical, electrical, or fabrication background
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
