Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roll-Off Driver to join our dynamic transportation team! In this vital role, you will operate specialized roll-off trucks to transport and dispose of waste, recyclables, and other materials efficiently and safely. Duties
- Safely operate roll-off trucks equipped with hydraulic lift systems to load and unload containers
- Drive various types of Roll-Off trucks -manual and automatic transmission
- Load, secure, and unload freight or waste containers accurately according to safety standards
- Manage route driving schedules to ensure timely pickups and deliveries across designated areas
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain detailed logs of mileage, cargo loads, fuel consumption, and delivery/pickup times
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, roll-off trucks-Waste industry preferred
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, with a strong understanding of route planning and navigation
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using various types of equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving and freight handling
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for different vehicle types
