American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient hospice/palliative care (Solace) position in Asheville, NC, requiring at least 2 years of hospice experience and a valid NC or compact RN license.

Mobile/home care hospice setting in Buncombe County, NC

Inpatient hospice unit with a 1:15 patient ratio

Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Day shift team structure includes 1 team manager per branch, 1 CNC, 3 RN case managers, and 2–3 PCTs
-
EMR system: Home Care Home Base

Potential for backup call, though infrequent

Active NC or compact RN license required

Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)

Minimum 2 years of recent hospice nursing experience

Active, valid driver's license required

Familiarity with hospice EMR systems required

Understanding of documentation required for hospice certifications

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Responsibilities include patient assessment, pain management, and family education

Candidate should be self-sufficient and experienced as a hospice case manager

Home health experience is preferred

Scrubs required; no specific color designated

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
