Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. Master tech or several A or B techs needed to replace a master that has retired. This store does mostly used car and customer pay jobs. Not many warranty tickets so the hours you can turn are greatly increased by not being slowed down to follow silly warranty processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and repair, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires expertise in various automotive systems, including electrical systems and powertrain components. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are operating at peak performance.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive electrical systems, ensuring functionality and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and service on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and resolve complex automotive issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems or necessary repairs.
- Weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's needs and repair status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and powertrain components.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Proficiency in performing alignments and other essential automotive services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Relevant certifications or training in automotive technology is a plus.
- A valid driver's license is required.
