Cardiology, P.C is currently seeking a highly motivated active registrant in echo and vascular technologies seeking an opportunity to grow their skill set and become an asset to our team. The ideal Echo/Vascular Technologist must have experience in adult trans-thoracic echocardiography including bubble and prepared contrast agents, extracranial cerebrovascular exams, upper and lower extremity peripheral arterial and venous duplex, physiologic testing, renal vascular and AAA scans. Candidate must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge, strong skills, and the ability to work efficiently and independently. Experience in placing intravenous lines is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited school of Sonography/Ultrasound with a focus in vascular and echo
- ARDMS or CCI registry in Adult Echocardiography and Vascular technologies
- Associates degree in Science or equivalent
- Basic life support certificate required
This position is responsible for:
- Performing all echo and vascular studies as directed
- Adheres to the lab’s schedule to ensure patients studies are done appropriately and in a timely manner. Makes every effort to work efficiently to avoid lengthy patient wait times and accommodate add on appointments as needed.
- Prepares associated reports on studies and sends reports to physicians for review and final signature.
- Accurately and thoroughly utilizes the labs EMR and Vidistar to save studies to patient’s charts.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the exam rooms and equipment in work areas
- Maintain active credentials through ARDSM and/or CCI as well as CME’s
- Participating in quality assurance meetings
Physical demands include the ability to transfer and/or position adult patients safely for you and the patient. Job may require occasional light lifting. Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
