Echo Care ABA is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide compassionate, high-quality ABA therapy to children with autism and developmental needs in Elizabeth, Newark, Union, Linden, Roselle, Hillside, Rahway, Irvington, Roselle Park, Maplewood, East Orange, and nearby New Jersey communities.
Active BACB RBT certification is required. Applicants who only completed the 40-hour RBT training, are waiting to take the exam, or are still in the certification process are not eligible at this time.
We are a growing ABA agency looking for dependable, caring, and professional RBTs who want to be part of building a strong clinical team from the beginning. This is a part-time position to start, with the opportunity for additional hours as our caseload grows.
This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working directly with children, can follow a BCBA’s treatment plan, collects accurate data, communicates well with families, and takes pride in providing consistent, meaningful support.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children under the supervision of a BCBA
- Implement individualized skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction goals
- Support communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily-living skills
- Collect accurate session data and document client progress
- Follow treatment plans, behavior plans, and clinical instructions
- Communicate professionally with families, supervisors, and team members
- Participate in supervision, feedback, and required training
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
- Report safety concerns, schedule changes, and client updates promptly
- Represent Echo Care ABA professionally in home, school, clinic, or community settings
Required Qualifications
- Active BACB Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience providing ABA therapy or working with children with autism
- Ability to follow a BCBA’s treatment plan and collect accurate data
- Reliable transportation to client locations
- Professional communication and documentation skills
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently with supervision
- Willingness to complete Echo Care ABA onboarding, background checks, exclusion checks, and required trainings
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months of ABA experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with CentralReach or another ABA data-collection system
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience with home-based ABA services
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviors, including tantrums, aggression, noncompliance, elopement, or communication delays
- Availability in Elizabeth, Newark, Union, Linden, Roselle, Hillside, Rahway, Irvington, Roselle Park, Maplewood, East Orange, and nearby areas

Schedule
- Part-time to start
- Approximately 10–25 hours per week, depending on client needs and availability
- Hours may increase as client cases become available
- Schedule will depend on client needs, location, authorization, and availability
Compensation
$25–$30 per hour, depending on experience, availability, location, and qualifications.
