Family owned O&P Clinic seeking full time fabrication technician/assistant. Must be comfortable with machinery, hand tools and other general shop tools. Must have strong communication and critical thinking skills. Hours are Monday - Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 3pm. Paid time off after 90 days. Eligible for health and dental insurance after 90 days. Competitive pay based on experience, no experience required. Experience in mechanical or technical trades preferred.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Maintain clear communication between front office and fabrication lab to ensure efficiency and timely fabrication schedule.
- Organize and maintain workflow of various braces, foot orthotics, and prosthetic devices from evaluation through delivery to patient.
- Perform repairs to and maintenance of prosthetic/orthotic devices under the guidance of and in consultation of Practitioner.
- Create positive models from casts using plaster for fabrication of custom orthotic and prosthetic devices.
- Must be able to lift plaster models ranging from 25-50 lbs
- Maintain clean, safe workspace in the fabrication lab
- Maintain inventory of fabrication materials as well as stock items
