Position Summary
The MIS Coordinator provides technical support for computer systems, software applications, network infrastructure, and telecommunications services throughout the North Carolina Crisis Facility. This role works closely with Help Desk personnel, Systems Administrators, and Network Administrators to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while ensuring employees receive quality support and training. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary hire position.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience preferred. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to urgent technical issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to employees using the Help Desk ticketing system and IT Help inbox.
- Monitor and update ticket statuses daily and complete all required documentation.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and telecommunications issues.
- Install, configure, replace, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and network equipment.
- Assist with firmware upgrades and deployment of hardware and software solutions.
- Work with the MIS team to troubleshoot and restore communication lines, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to maintain reliable computer and telecommunications services.
- Maintain inventory records for hardware and technology assets distributed throughout the facility.
- Support employee technology moves, additions, and changes.
- Distribute and deploy PC hardware, software, and peripherals to end users.
- Communicate with Help Desk team members to identify and address priority technical issues.
- Provide basic technology training to users during equipment deployment and as needed.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend emergency support when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation
$55,500 - $55,900 annually
